Nothing is free, including feelings

Well, everyone knows that when you lose something, you'ld gain something in a way or another..
And you'll definitely lose something and gain something in every moment of your life.

When you buy something, you gain happiness and the item but you lose your money.
True enough?

After the trip from Europe, i guess the 'friends' i made there werent really friends afterall..
well, not that i know them.. haha.
Ever since the end of the trip, I've been rather disgusted at new friends..well.
Trust was the issue, okay. Shall talk bout it next time ba :)

When i came back, everyone around me started to get attached..
i guess, these 8 days does make a difference.. haha.
Not that i mind, but it's sorta upsetting in a way ba.
But nonetheless, i'm still unaffected. haha !
Meet up with Darling and Yongteck for dinner on the second night i came back, which was 1 Oct.
Was rather reluctant to join them as Yongteck and I didnt really had a great relationship in sec sch life.. haha.
Well, i thought it's over for quite long and i guess he isn't as childish as some ba.
So i joined, well.. abit awkward in the starting..
but after 3 dinners, i guess we're friends now. haha.
tbh, so what if he's from nt?
it doesnt matter, cos we are still humans..
and academic is just a part of life.
So wad if one is smarter or richer?
We all have four limps, a head and wadeva.. wad makes the richer and smarter to be better?
Well, we hanged out for these few nights and been through some stuffs..
i guess.. he wasn't as bad as i thought he was, as i said.. unlike some. hahaha.
well, we two know who can le. hehe!

Met up with Kenny for dinner yesterday :D
He's quite funny, haha!
Well, we know each other for 10-11 years but we werent close till 08 or so.. haha!
I was his living nightmare then, oops!
We grew up in the same orchestra, it was the best time of my life!
We chatted for veryyyy long.. till i had to use the toilet, so we went toilet and headed home..
i didn't realise that it was alrdy 3+am!
Guess we really had alot to chat hurhh. haha.
we just shared music, memories, and laughters tgt.
the feeling was awesome..
then he sent me home ^^
and here i am, reaching home at 3.40am~

Feeling abit better after the Europetripthing..
Well.. i guess 'losing' those friends doesnt really affect me badly.
gaining friends are still better, especially friends that make you feel comfortable to be around with..
Friends whom let you be who you are..
I love this feeling now.

Feel like getting a headphone, hehe! Shall keep a lookout and get one next month after i get my pay!

Loves,
Caitlin

Reflection after SSYES 2012 to Bratislava/Brno/Prague

During this trip, I've met several people who owns a company or holds a high authority in the parliament/in the the field of business. Three of the people that i remember the best are Mr Douglas Foo, Mr Ong Tze Boon and Mr Ing. Ivo Gajdos.
Mr Douglas Foo is the founder and CEO of Sakae Sushi. Although I did not had much time to interact due to his packed schedule and a flight to catch after a business session, he had taught me that not all businessmen are demanding and some of them are actually friendly and looked forward to coaching students like us. Because of our short conversation, I had the encouragement to talk to other businessmen.
Mr Ong Tze Boon is the Chairman of Ong&Ong Group that specialised in integrating skilled architecture, clever interior design, creative environmental branding and sensitive landscape design. During one of the nights, he had a talk with the TP students and it was very inspiring. His speech had enlightened me to think differently instead of the usual ways.
Mr Ing. Ivo Gajdos is the Vice-President of Czech Management Association. Despite having such high authority, I could not feel any sense of arrogance when i spoke to him. We could not speak much due to the circumstance, however, i felt that it is a point that is worth learning.
I am impressed with the traffic culture. Although the road is very narrow, everyone could still travel fast and the public transports are not blocked. In both countries, the trams travel on the road with the tracks on the common road but the cars have no problem avoiding it and letting the public trams pass. When pedestrians cross the road, the cars would stop immediately for them. They seldom drive in fast speed too. In Singapore, everyone blocks the public buses and they would try to rush across before the pedestrians cross.
I am also impressed at the service at the supermarkets. They have self check-out machines in selected supermarkets. The most impressing thing is that most of the consumers do not take a bag to hold their stuffs despite buying a few things. Even if they do, the packing is done on their own instead of the cashier. I believe this is a good thing to be exercised in Singapore as it promotes our 3'R's and it would allow Singaporeans to be more independent.
After this trip, I dream to be a successful architecture designer specialising in Hotel and resort. Because of the places we have visited and the hotels we have stayed in, I believe it is very inspiring. I have seen many kind of buildings in different cities and it is very impressing, especially the castle in Prague. I think that if a hotel/resort can fuse in such designs, it would make the consumers feel like a royalty when they stay in.
